Your Care Team

At the Palm Beach Digital Surgery Institute, we’re committed to empowering our patients, sharing options and information so you can make the decision that’s right for you and your family.

Dr. Eduardo Parra-Davila MD, FACS, FASCRS and his team begin by focusing on not just the patient, but their entire family: the support system and people committed to restoring the patient to a better quality of life.

“It’s important to understand where a patient is coming from - not just the pain they may be living with, but how that experience is impacting every part of their lives,” says Dr. Parra.

Whether facing life-threatening obesity, colorectal disease, gastrointestinal disease or abdominal wall hernia, patients seek out Dr. Parra for both his compassion and technical expertise.

A Multi-Disciplinary Approach

For some diseases and conditions, Dr. Parra is joined in the operating room by other specialists, to ensure the specialized knowledge and skillset a patient may require is there throughout the surgical experience. For instance, Dr. Parra frequently partners with a urogynecologist on endometriosis surgery. This condition sometimes results in foreign tissue invasion into the colon, requiring Dr. Parra’s expertise.

"I tell the patients if you have endometriosis, and you’re going to have surgery, you would like to see a multi-disciplinary team. You don’t want people guessing who they’re going to call at the time you have the patient on the table. You should meet your specialty teams prior to surgery. If you need one of those specialty teams, you’ve met them already, you know the expectations and you know who is going to treat you."

As a globally recognized leader in robotic surgery, Eduardo Parra-Davila, MD is committed to expanding the knowledge of minimally invasive surgery to physicians both in the United States and around the world. For more than 20 years, Dr. Parra focused on laparoscopic surgery, but began almost exclusively operating with the da Vinci robotic surgical system in 2017.
